Today's Flowers #11



Ochna serrulata - aka Bird's Eye Plant, carnival plants or - my favourite - Mickey Mouse Plant. I think it looks like a slightly pychcotic fly, though.

That is a very interesting and sooo different flower. I particularly like the spectrum of goofy names. And what on earth is that big green tennis ball on the flower...a giant developing seed pod?

Thanks :) Yes, those are fruits, they are black when ripe. Wikipedia has a
